There have been two previous publications which have set out to document the history of the City of Birmingham Choir. The first was published in on the occasion of the Choir’s twenty-fifth anniversary.

It was an austere but optimistic time, just after the end of the Second World War, and the author, William G A Russell. The City of Birmingham Choir is passionate about great choral music.
